Dr. Sriparna B Baruah brings with her, more than 32 years of work experience in Management Education and Small and Medium Enterprise Development with special thrust on Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Promotion. Her extensive experience extends to conducting action research and projects related to development of livelihood clusters specifically in the North Eastern Region of India. For the last three years, she has been actively involved in facilitating creation of a start-up eco-system in Assam and has provided mentoring and handholding support to existing and potential start-ups in opportunity guidance and scaling up.
Dr Baruah has represented NE India in various international forums and lead Business Delegations globally. She has represented the country as a speaker in international conferences in countries like Latin America and Malaysia. She regularly provides academic and consultancy support to MBA departments of all major universities of Assam, institutions like TISS, NIRD,AASC etc. Dr Baruah is member of the Board of Management of the School of Vocational Education (SOVET) IGNOU, the North East Network (NEN), the Cancer Research Foundation (CRF), BIRAC-BRTC advisory board and is actively involved with various industry associations like CII,FICCI and FINER.
Dr Sriparna B Baruah received the ‘BHARAT VIKAS AWARD’ for her contribution to the Livelihood Sector from the Institute of Self Reliance on 19th November 2017.
She is a Yoga practitioner and a certified Yoga teacher.

As a Professor at the Center for Social Entrepreneurship of the School of Management and Labour Studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai Prof. Satyajit Majumdar teaches entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, strategic management, growth and technology strategy, corporate social responsibility and service operations management. Prof. Satyajit Majumdar graduated in Electrical and Industrial Engineering, and later obtained post-graduate degree in Management, Applied M. Phil. and PhD. He is also a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (India).
With more than 38 years of experience he provides consulting and corporate training in the areas related to Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Growth Strategy, Corporate Social Responsibility and Strategic Human Resource Management.
He also mentors entrepreneurs and start-up organizations. He holds several advisory positions; the prominent ones are – Member of Governing Board of National Innovation Foundation of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, Member of Steering Committee on Biotechnology Based Programme for Societal Development, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and Member of Academic Council, NITIE, Mumbai (India).
He was the Lead of the Core Team constituted by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India for conferring National Entrepreneurship Award 2017. As member of boards of studies, academic councils, advisory and steering boards of universities and organizations he regularly participates in policy discussions related to academics and practice.

Nixon Joseph, President & Chief Operating Officer, SBI Foundation, is a post graduate in English Language and Literature, joined State Bank of India in 1985 as probationary officer. As a career Banker, he has extensive experience in various facets of Banking like Corporate Credit, Retail Operations, International Banking etc., has worked all across India. He was also Manager(Operations), SBI Bahrain and Chief Executive Officer, SBI Tokyo branch(2008-2012). He is a Certified Credit Professional, Certified Banking Compliance Professional and Certified Information Systems Banker.
He was President of the Sakura Toastmasters Club, Tokyo and also started the Tokyo debating society.
His interest in long distance running has led to his completion of 35 full marathons(42.195km), thus being the only official among the 1.1 million bank employees in India to have the achievement, making him popular as “SBI marathon legend”. That he was never an athlete, yet started full marathon running at the age of 44 years, went ahead completing full marathons and still running at the age of 57 years, has been inspiring thousands of people especially youth. Various institutions have been inviting him to share his experiences of running 34 full marathons and motivate the youth. He has been running in all the SBI Green marathons to spread the message of sustainability.
As Coordinator, SBI Youth for India fellowship program, he was instrumental in inspiring and mentoring the youths, and has taken the fellowship to a higher level. He has been mentoring many social entrepreneur units started by SBI Youth for India fellows.
As President of SBI Foundation, the CSR arm of State Bank of India he has been supporting strong impact projects to help the underprivileged and needy. He has been a regular speaker in various CSR forums all across India.
He is the recipient of Dr A. P. J. Abdul Kalam award 2018 for excellence in public service. His name figures in the “Be the Inspiration” Book released by Rotary Club, Mumbai where 45 inspiring Indians were listed.

He has held leadership position in many corporates where he was instrumental in driving noteworthy results in ever-developing business environment. Currently he is associated with the Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at TISS where he heads three verticals - Social Incubation Centre, Executive Programmes and Outreach Initiatives.
He is also a key member of the core committee of National Entrepreneurship Award constituted by Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India. His academic areas of interest are Marketing Management, Brand Management, Strategy and Communication for Entrepreneurship.
